Char

The first thing everyone learns about Char is that she loves animals. In her good care Lucy is making a remarkable recovery. She instinctively understands animals and how to meet their needs. She knows how to nurse a sick animal back to health. She adores the stripped gophers in the area, naming them as she can identify them. When a coyote gobbles one up for dinner she grieves. Bill suggested she stop naming them because she gets too attached to them and then it's harder when they get eaten by a coyote or a cat.

Bill and Char spend many weekends up at the cabin in the summer. She loves the outdoors. She cares for a large vegetable garden where I always get sent home with bags of fresh, organic produce during the summer. She is also an accomplished baker. Bill and Char love to eat well but you'd never know it by looking at her. She works all the calories off in the yard, garden and barn. She is a fantastic sister-in-law and I adore her.
